The LHCb experiment is a particle detector that collects data from collisions at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider.

RICH

The Ring-Imaging Cherenkov subdetector is composed of two parts – RICH1 and RICH2 – that sit on either side of the LHCb magnet. The subdetector is used to identify which charged particles from B decays – pions or kaons – pass through LHCb.
