Revision as of 12:36, 25 May 2026
Since 2024, I have been involved in the Bristol folk scene to a small extent. First, following some “Singing for Well-being” sessions at UWE Bristol, I was invited to join Heartwood Chorus as a bass (a first bass, specifically). Later in the year, several members of the Broken Biscuits cèilidh band were at a birthday party I was attending and I jammed on a hand-held percussion instrument while they played folk tunes. At the end of the night, I was invited by the current band leader to join the band as a percussionist. I bought a beautiful laptop cajón on the same day that I played my first ceilidh in November 2024.
On this page, I’ll try to keep information relevant to both Heartwood and Broken Biscuits.
