Observation Deck

Zurich Airport has an amazing observation deck near gates E56–67 and it is worth a hike to get to if you have a few minutes to spare before boarding your flight. You can be outside the terminal in a manner of speaking and observe the planes landing and taking off with the mountains in the background. There are also fixed binoculars to look at the mountains and countryside more closely, and one corner of the observation deck also has a speaker that plays audio from air-traffic control! There is also a play area for children. The deck can be accessed by stairs or lift.
